Hi everyone, glad to be here. I'm the new owner of this '69 Cutlass S convertible. She's very stock with her original Rocket 350 engine, 2-barrel carb, and Turbo Hydra-Matic 350 transmission–all numbers match. Her A/C was updated to current standards, which here in hot LA suits me just fine. She also came with the factory original 8-track player and two boxes of tapes. I honored Brian Wilson's passing by taking a spin with the top down and a Beach Boys 8-track cranked up.
She's my first classic car, but the muscle memory of years spent changing/draining the fluids on the family '77 Ford Econoline van is coming back quickly. And I have a great set of tools inherited from my dad and grandpa; there's just a good feeling from using a wrench with my grandpa's name engraved in it. She's a driver's car and there are some things I'll need to attend to. I'll definitely have some questions, but I'll post them elsewhere. Thanks for having me! This site has already been an invaluable resource in the short time I've used it.
I named her Joan, after the Mad Men character: both are redheads, smart, powerful, classy, have beautiful lines, and deserve to be pampered.
She's got more garage space than this picture shows; trust me. She arrived early and I had to scramble to make room!
