Hi all, name is Matt, I am a long time Olds/442/Cutlass guy, have owned quite a few as well as many cars of other makes. Although I have been out of the Olds hobby quite a while, I still admire them. I come here today on a quest to find my old car that was stolen back in 86. I know, super long shot, but even if I find out a little something that would be cool. Knowing people on the site probably eyeball any Olds they see, maybe someone has info. Anyways, I will make a post in the Cars Wanted area detailing my car and see if anyone knows anything.

Welcome, the possibility of finding your Olds is slim to none. However a worthy quest good luck.

 

Especially since it was stolen. What were the circumstances of the theft? The police never found anything or turned up any leads? People don't usually steal a car and then turn it into their daily driver as they'd be sitting ducks for arrest once the car was spotted.

Isn't it way more likely that it was stripped for parts? What was left has probably been in a junkyard for many years if it wasn't crushed.

Agree on both counts, likely gone forever, but there was a few details about the car that might sway someones memory. I will detail in the Wanted post. Writing it now.
