Thought I'd introduce myself since I just joined the club.
I don't currently own an Oldsmobile, but my first car was a '71 Cutlass Supreme convertible (Rocket 350) that my father helped me buy when I was 18 and heading off to college at SDSU. We bought it in 1981 from our next door neighbor in Orinda, CA. Regrettably, I sold it to a friend of my brother's in the early-mid 90's. He then sold it a number of years later to "some cool guy in Orange county." And that's where the trail goes cold. I loved that car and truly wish I'd never let her go, but I did. Over the years I've found myself thinking about it enough to toy with the idea of getting another one. It's really not something that fits into my current financial picture, so for now I'm just enjoying it as my favorite classic car. By joining this club I hope to connect with other Cutlass owners and see what they've done with theirs. I'm ever so slightly edging toward that slippery slope of getting one, but we'll see... For now, I'm happy to have uncovered an old slide that I shot of the car in 1988. So I had it digitized, printed, and put it in a frame.
At any rate, that's what brings me here. I also have a hope that perhaps I'll connect with the current owner, so I can see how the old "Red Barchetta" is doing, and fill them in on the first 25 years or so of her life.
Looking forward to meeting you all and checking out all of these beautiful cars!

Welcome to the group... Hopefully you will be able to find a another vehicle in the not too distant future... Quite possibly there is one for sale here on the site that will meet your expectations...
Welcome, great looking car. Mine had white walls too when I got it from my in laws.
Wow... you married well! Just checked out your photo albums and that's a beauty you've got there! It's just like the one I had except, obviously, the color and the fact that its a 442. I was always happy with my 350, but of course coveted a 442. And I've already decided my next one will be blue with a white top/interior. You even have the console shifter and rally wheels like mine did - both requirements for the next one, so yeah man... congrats; you pretty much have the car of my dreams!
And thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Yes, pretty sure another one is in the cards. Just need to save up some $$$ so I can pounce when the opportunity presents.
