New member 71 442 conv.
Hello all. I'm new to this forum but have owned my car for about 17 years. My name is Kevin and my car is an original 1971 ebony black and white 442 convertible. I enjoy reading about and talking muscle cars especially 442s. Looks like a great forum ! KO

Welcome Kevin, That is my favorite year. Give us more details on the car. You can never argue with black and white as a great color combination. I have a 71 442 convt too. I should be saying my favorite year is 1970 but I like the grilles and no tooth to bloody my head. It is a good group of Oldsmobile Folks.

Thanks for the warm reception. I looked for three years to find the right 442 convert. Lots of wild goose chases and rusted out cars. Found this one the week before Christmas 1992 ? about 40 miles from my house. A very Merry Christmas ! Its all original except the usual items like exhaust, battery, some hoses. It has almost all options except the 8 track and cruise control. It is an original ram air car 455 with the Hurst dual gate shifter, posi rear, cold ac,pw, pdl ,pbucket seat, p trunk, tilt, rally pac gauges, sport wheel. I have the original window sticker but have never looked for a build sheet. I look forward to seeing your cars and discussions on this forum ! Thanks again. KO
