Hello, I've been lurking on this site for some time and finally joined a few weeks ago. I'm very much impressed with the resident knowledge of, and respect the members exhibit between and for each other. Very classy and a welcome change from the cyber thug and one-upmanship rampant in some other enthusiast sites. That, and this is a very active site! I’ve owned my ’71Cutlass S holiday coupe since 1986. It is a Rocket 350 4bbl,Edelbrock Performer manifold and cam, TH350 with shift kit, Sonic Turbo(remember those?) stainless mufflers, 3.42 Richmond gears with factory (1984 Olds 98 donor car) Eaton styleposi (8.5 corporate rear), W-27 aluminum cover, rear anti sway bar, ram airhood, spoiler, sport steering wheel, P245/60/14 Firestone SS Radials on 14x7SSII rims, Porsche “Guards Red” with the factory white vinyl bench seatinterior, sport mirrors, 442 grille and black W30 style stripes. Please also see my wanted ad for 15x7 Super Stock bolt on cap wheels. Happy motoring to one and all! Wayne in FL
Thanks for the warm welcome! My username is of the car I saw at a show back in 1985 that got me into the hobby. It was an F85, 4-speed, manual steering version of the W31. I became friends with the owner and recall that parts weren't re-popped like they are now, so he had to find a sacrificial car to get the floor from to help restore his to award winning condition. I forgot to mention that mine was originally a 4 wheel drum car, but is now front disc. I also changed out to the proper proportioning valve and master cylinder. I've seen front disc conversions where they left the smaller drum master in place.
