Welcome to the site! When you have time please post pictures of your car, and tell us about its history as best you know.

Thank You....

I am new to the forum/post world, please be patient and understanding. I am not good at doing this sort of stuff. Was compelled to join due to the loads of Olds info and pics.

I bought the car in 1996 for $380.00. Extra engine and tranny included. Previous owner had it completely dismantled. Since then, I have worked at getting it back together. It's been a slow process. Recently got the 330 fired up after all this time. Don't have much for pics, since it has primarily been a garage ornament. Will try to post a pic or two soon. Info for now: "64 F85/Cutlass Convertible, 330 4bbl, 2 speed trans-console shift, factory A/C, white exterior, red interior.

Thanks to all...

The manuals I have, have been helpful. But it’s nice to know there are people with more knowledge and experience I can reach out to when needed

Welcome aboard and nice car!
The floor pans look really solid; is the whole car like that? If it is you have a real winner. Got a picture of the cowl tag? It has information on it that can be decoded as far as some options go.

Yes....very solid car. That was primary reason for buying it over 20 years ago. then of course because it is a convertible. intended on buying a motorcycle from the guy. ended up with my first olds cutlass......

cowl tag:

06A
Style....64-3267 Body LA 9159
Trim 965 Paint C
Acc. 2K-G

Maybe post a picture of the cowl tag. There are 5 columns for Acc options. You've identified 2KG (K - Air conditioning, G - Console)

Your Trim and Paint
Trim - 965 = Holiday Red
Paint - C = Provincial White

From the earlier pictures it sounds a lot like your car.

Correct sir.....cowl tag info seems to match what I actually have (paint, trim, and so on). 2K-G is in fact the only ACC.

Some time ago. I realized fenders, and most likely the hood are not original to car. Found gold colored paint hiding in areas underneath the white. Most likely in a wreck long ago, and had salvage parts from another car put on.

Not uncommon for that to happen. But the good thing is that if it was salvage parts, they were also OEM so they'd fit properly. Back then there was no 'aftermarket' for parts like there is today. The only way to get replacement parts was from GM or the boneyard. I'm guessing you checked the frame and front horns for straight and true?
