New From Houston, TX area.

My name is Michael. I am from Pearland, TX just south of Houston. I have a 71 Cutlass Supreme I found about a year ago. It's a 350 2-barrel with just over 70000 original miles. Still had polyglas tires on it when I got it. I am the second owner. Belonged to an old lady that died about 8 years before I bought it, and it just sat there till I saved it. Took it home....rebuilt the carb....and viola.....Now comes the resto....just changin it over to 4-barrel, and doin a mild cruising build. No drag car here. Gimmee some feedback. Tell me what you think. By the way.....bought it for $1200.

Welocme to CO

Nice rescue, you mean by viola it runs with a carb rebuild correct? That's a sign of good luck. Looks like mostly sun damage to me looking from 40,000 feet. Great price. Now the fun starts

Indeed. Ran like a top....till I started pulling the Engine. Has rust just in front of the passenger door at the bottom, and above the trunk below the back window. Pulled the carpet, and the floorpan was a little rough too, but all in all.... a great buy.

Thx Sammy. My first Cutlass was a 72 Supreme with a 2-barrel 455....got it when I was 18....had to sell it a year later for college. I always wanted another so when I saw this, I had to jump.

Welcome!
Looks like you got a good project at a great price! Yep, typical Texas sun rot. It is amazing of what all that tree debris will do to a car, especially in a humid climate. Hope the rust isnt any worse. Check the base of the windshield, too.
Start a build thread and keep us posted!
And if that little aftermarket console/cupholder is destined for the trash, I would buy it from you. Been looking for one just like it in that color and the new ones do not fit the big hump!
