Hi , I finally made it here from the AACA as recommended as a good place to find other '56 olds owners and to share some of my restoration tips. I am to assume that would go under technical? I also have some stainless '56 trim to maybe swap or whatever and I have owned my '56 red and white Holiday Sedan since high school or about 1981 , which is a long time for one car. My location is Atlantic Canada, specifically Moncton New Brunswick near the Bay of Fundy which has the highest tides of the World at over 40 feet.(and cheap lobster). Anyways, I hope to post some pics, recently restored felt replacement of flapper in air intake near the fan and an inside look at restoring a headlight switch. Later pete.

Thanks...just finding my way around.Hope to share what I have. For me, there is a serious lack of 50's Oldsmobile on the Web. They made such beautiful cars....it makes no sense.

Welcome! A nice car, and a nice location. I have actually been to the Bay of Fundy, back in the days when I was a "strapping young man" who enjoyed backpacking.

Welcome Pete! As golds56 has pointed out, Hialeah56 started a whole thread devoted to the 1956 car "All 56 owners check in" and there's a bunch of 56 owners here.

You'll see some familiar names here, and I think you'll find things on CO are more relaxed than AACA is sometimes.
