New here-hello from PA
Want to say hi to everyone. I just pulled my 77-S out of a 10 year storage. Sure didn't know it was going to be that long but things happen. I just started the fun of servicing most everything. Any way all i did was wash it and start to work. Some pics here.

Thanks for the kind words. Actually the color is an olds/caddy color. I Had the car painted in 1990, it had a full white vinyl top and it had the start of some rust pimples so i had the local family body shop do a total paint job. No panels replaced no holes from rust and pulled that top. The color full code is 29/WA8970 from what i understand. So at least it is still an olds color . Just now it is a ppg base clear coat.
I bought the car in 87 here in the Pittsburgh area, but it had been brought here from North Carolina. Hence the no bad rust stuff. It was just a plain jane cutty s but i have done some things over the years just adding to it. The ralley olds steering wheel, blue (and sticky from storage grrr) a 442 gauge pack, and the ralley wheels. (just didnt look right with hub caps..lol). I have spent money on that emissions 350 (whoops) but young and dumb o well. It is bored 30 over ultra dyne cam, eld. intake, holly 4010 well you get the idea.
Car total has 122 thousand plus miles on it, (wish i could lie and say 22 thou) the car could pass that lie. Looking to getting it on the road again soon!
Right now it is just well needed sevice on her, the major thing -brakes, it was put away with bad master cylinder. So, going thru whole brake system, rebuilt carb, all fluids, only somewhat smart thing i did was put it away with a full gas tank, and fuel seems to be ok in it. I have siphoned out 10 gallons so far and actually used 5 in my daily car.
Future plans......dream is to go big block and make it look stock. With the rebuilt 350 in it now it has dress up stuff and the AC removed.
OHH, by the way i am looking for all 4 wheel lip trims and the quarter window trim

Interesting story on the awakening and work done. Only thing about your ^^ comment; in 1977 the biggest block you could get for that car was the 403 which is still classified as a small block. So putting in a 455 wouldn't make it look stock, but would sure be a kick a@@ power plant!

I do want the 455 in there...just so empty looking with the 350..lol. Honestly I am not out to win any shows in a "stock" way but i want that drive train. The vin and fisher tag will be way off so what the heck, just desire that "olds" look. I figure it is the last of the forgotten years so just want to have fun.
I was just out going thru stuff and put 12v for the first time in 10+ years...buzzer sounded like it has been gagged, only one horn worked ..sounded god awfull but motor turned over nice n smooth. I turned on the blower and heard it running but no air anywhere..hhmmm

well the picture shows the story I thought mouse nest?? looked everywhere no signs of mice at all. Also had no high so got to look for a fuse on the fire wall, cant reach it with the car on jack stands. Will leave that for when i redo the distributer coil weights..again blah blah blah...
Oh and i found a clock i forgot i had in the glove comparment, anyone know any info on one like that? There is a white sticker on the bottom but number has been worn off long ago. I remeber gettin it years ago just never saw a clock with rolling numbers.

No worries, sounds like you know what you want - heck I'd want a 455/400 in that car too.
re: the clock. I had one of those in my 1983 Ninety Eight Regency Brougham. It was really easy to install in that car because all that held the dash were 2 phillips screws, the radio ***** and a bunch of clips on the back of the dash plate.
I was going to suggest looking at the 76 Cutlass Assembly manual, but then I noticed the dash on the 77 is different on the passenger side. I'm not sure how that trim piece comes out. It might just be held with spring clips and pop out with light tugs? Someone with a 77 should know. That interior looks so nice I wouldn't want you to wreck it with a guess on my part.
Who painted the 350 red?

Thanks for the info on the clock. Bad thing on it is the plug had bed cut of, so just 4 wires there. My dad is my help with the electrical problems like that to figure power wire light wire and hook them up. Just thought it might look nice with the rolling numbers in the dash. To get to it i figured i would have to pull the glove box to get behind.

I just thought I would do a little update....
My 77 is now out and about on the road and is fun to be back behind the wheel.
Now it is look for those little fun pieces for it, like wheel opening trim and other stuff.
Also going to look for the last ticket for the drive train, and think I remember seeing a couple men local (well near Pittsburgh) for rear end work. I like to find taller gears 3.XX something..lol want advice for the cam I have and such. I know this is older bodies cutlass's but maybe find things anyway.
Couple new pics from this past weekend
