New Guy from SW Ohio / Gr. Cincinnati

Greetings Classic Oldsmobile community. I registered as a user some time back and have enjoyed visiting the site many times. Thought it was about time I joined in rather than merely observe from afar.

I have been an Olds fan since I was a kid (my first car was a 71 Cutlass Supreme 350ci/4bbl) and while I do appreciate the A Bodies, I have always had a soft spot for the larger gals. My pride and joy is an unmolested 1967 Delta Custom Holiday Coupe with its original 425ci/2bbl. Has bucket seats, console, air conditioning, original wire wheel covers, and rare AM/FM radio. It is far from a museum piece but it is road worthy and as time and finances allow I hope to bring her back to her full glory. Champagne exterior and interior. Not terribly fond of the color and my long range plan is to convert to (model year correct) Tahoe Turquoise as I think it will make all the brightwork, which is in good shape, stand out better. I look forward to tapping all the knowledge the members of this community have to help me on my journey and will try to contribute my own when and where I can.

Regards,
Dave

Thanks for the welcome Oldcutlass and Charlie Jones. Charlie, thanks for the link. I will indeed come visit with my fellow 60's B and C Body Darksiders.

Welcome to the site! I don't live too far from you and coincidentally I am working on a '71 Supreme. Love the Delta Custom, especially the color.

Thanks BrawnyMan. I am a Hoosier by birth but from the opposite end of the state. The 67s evoke some strong responses. Some don't like the split headlights, prominent (some say cow-catcher) center grill, or the fastback roofline but I think it works well on a car the size of an 88. Glad to hear you are restoring a '71 Supreme. Loved mine. 2 door w/ buckets (automatic but no console!). Green inside and out with a white vinyl top. The 350/4bbl ran like a champ. Brings back some great memories. That was over 30 years ago now, the time does go by fast.
