new guy from Oregon
Hi. I just joined up. My name is Neal and my first Olds was a 1970 442 ragtop way back in 1983. I got rid of it a couple years later, but always kind of wanted another. A few years ago I found a 1971 Olds 442 factory original , unmolested 455/4 speed/bench seat car. I bought it because the price was unbelievably low and have been just looking at it up till now. It doesnt need much to get on the road, which I hope to do by Christmas. But there is enough little things that I don't know the answer to, so I am hoping you guys can help me.
Looking forward to my time here, Neal Zimmerman

Welcome Neal!
There's several more Olds nuts in the Willamette Valley, then Larry over in Redmond and a few of us down in the Rogue Valley. Look forward to seeing pictures of your car. Let us know if any questions come up during your build. Lots of experience here on the site.

Hi Neal!
And welcome aboard, just as the others say! Im in Olympia WA, just up the road from my home state of Oregon, and plan to move back to Oregon (Salem area) in the next few years. I grew up in the North Bend/Coos Bay area and my 68 4-4-2 was bought new by my parents in Coos Bay. The car just stayed in the family over the years.
Sounds like you got a real good deal on your car. Please post pics when you can - we love to see them!
