New Guy from MN - 1968 Cutlass S Holiday Coupe

Hello Classic Oldsmobile!
I'm very excited to be able to join your crew. Not only is this my first Oldsmobile, but it's also my first endeavor into classic car restoration world. I've been planning/hoping for many years to be able to do this. I've come prepared to learn, to have fun, and to put way more money into restoring a car than it will ever be worth to someone else!

Here's what I bought a few weeks ago:
1968 Cutlass Holiday Coupe S. 47K miles.
VIN: 3368781133921
It's been sitting in a garage for many years, but has not been on the road driving since 1991. It does run and drive. It had some body work and a mediocre paint job done about 8 years ago, and then previous owner lost interest in the restoration. The interior didn't look horrible at first glance, but once I stuck my head in the car, the overwhelming smell of mice feces and urine told me that a complete interior tear out was going to be my first task.

I've already used the CO site for researching many things, and I've learned a lot in just these few short weeks. I still have many questions to ask this group, but since I actually read the "Newbie Forum" sticky, I'll refrain from asking my questions in this section of the forum.

Here are a few pics...

The interior has been gutted and I put in a new front/driver floor pan. The seat frames have also been stripped and are ready for sandblasting and painting. I plan to order most everything for the interior from Legendary within the next few days.

Welcome, '68s are my favorite year! Looks like you have a good project going on. You've come to the right place, lots of helpful folks here on CO. Since your Cutlass was built in Canada, I believe it would've had a Chevy 12-bolt rear end rather than the Type-O.
