New guy from Mi

While researching for my '68 442, I always seem to find this forum. I decided it was time to join.

Nice to see a new '68 442 member. I'm in the midst of restoring one myself. My experience with CO has revealed quite a few members with this year/model. I've also received a lot of help from them. Welcome. Post pics of your car.

Thanks,

I posted pics on my home page. This car was my fathers' and has been in my family for at least 20 years. I have been restoring it for the past 2 years. No frame off but still proud.

Hi Blue4092,
Yours is a familiar story, and welcome to this site. I found it invaluable in restoring my '68 (started in 2004, finished in 2007). My dad bought the car as new and it stayed in the family its entire life. My avatar shows me waxing my dad's new car the day after he bought it in 1969 and I've also attached a picture of the car as it looks today.
Have fun during your restoration. There's lots of expertise here and I tapped it extensively to make sure what I was doing was right.
Welcome aboard!
Randy C.

Thanks Randy,

I like the fender stripes alot. Wish mine had come with that option. I actually bought them online then after a few more minutes research found out that you cant just put them on any 442. The emblem placement has to accomodate it.

Luckily i was able to cancel the order!
