Welcome to the site Matt, must be fun the looks you get when you drive that large Olds around all those small cars you have over there

Thank you all for the welcome.

The car have been imported new ,from USA to Germany I think.
She have 30 years.. I don't know her story.
She is in bad condition, and run little bad; but bend all people's neck on the street. Big old american car are very rare in France.
She need some parts that I will buy this summer (I come in USA).
If you have good links and adress in Los Angeles or Las Vegas to buy parts for diesel... I take.

Pictures of the monster:

Wow! that yellow is an attention grabber. I bet that just adds to the curiosity your car causes in people. Cool.

Welcome Matt!
What part of France are you in?
I was watching some home movies over the weekend from Paris and I noticed how tiny and boring all those cars are... It would have been cool to see the big "Yellow monster" drive through (or any big American car at that)!
Any big plans for the car? Not too bad a shape at all for its age. Exterior and dash looks good. A good project, I say!

Yes, all car in France are so tiny.. the Olds is very big for our roads.

Not seen the Ferrari..

She was originaly black, and recently painted with this yellow (badly.. very bad work)
I will paint it Black, but not the originaly color; I would a mate black.

Even here in the French part of Canada, that yellow is a major fashion faux pas!!Looking forward to future posts updating your rebuild progress. Why not change travel plans and come to Ontario and Quebec....the dollar/franc exchange is in your favour here, tho' granted, there are more Olds in the U.S. No matter what, you WILL own the road in France!!Derek
