Welcome to the best Olds site there is today! There is a lot of Olds knowledge here and a lot of people with '68-'69 A-body cars. I've received some expert knowledge in the restoration of my '68 and '69. As well, it sounds like you have a good leg up on mechanical knowledge which will help bring down the cost of what you want to do with your '68. Post some pics when you get a chance - we like to see pics!

The summer , I been banking some money for the body work and paint , and I have a a son who is connected to some guys in a body shop , I don’t want a crappy looking car. This car was originally from California has very. Little rust but need some body work ,before paint and a new vinyl top

Welcome to the site! I look forward to hearing more about your car and what your plans are for it. Pictures in the gallery are good, but posting them here in your introduction thread would be helpful too.

I did look at your galleries. The floorboards look really clean. Did you switch from bench to buckets? Can't tell for sure, but looking at the brackets was it a power bench seat?

I'm not aware of anyone reproducing them and don't believe other GM makes would interchange. But there's a lot of members here with 1968-69 cars. If you create a parts wanted thread you'll likely have someone offer good used parts. John

Welcome. ros6872 has a lot of parts, I have bought from him a couple of times with no issues. I would call rather than email though. Also Eric Jensen and Scott Winn have a lot of stuff, and are good guys to deal with, just post in the parts wanted section.
