another Maine Newbie

Hello all.

Joined today and will be picking some brains prior to the start of my project. looks like a great site and hope to find info on my build. I do not want to re-invent the wheel but I will use the box it came in.
I have a 66 442 with Mondello pro-street 455, offenhouser duel quads, 4 speed, buckets, mostly original. came from the west coast 30+ years ago and was given to me by my mom and dad at age 17. Its been through 6 junkyard replacement motors two trannies and one rear end. first project is.... research, disk brakes, coil overs and a 2'' drop. love Gearheads78 66 olds and hope to start there.

Thanks for all the input in advance, ( good, bad, funny, and just way out there )

I would lose the air cleaners and those fuel filters. They are pure junk and a fire waiting to happen.

I am not a fan either and agree with you. As you can see in one of the pics I have the air cleaner that is going on and it requires a saws-all and my junkyard find hood that is burried in snow. It will be easy to find.. All you have to do is walk in the area and hope when you fall you do not dent it.

Thank you. Had a email exchange with CPP today. I am still not positive if their parts fit. But got alot of sales pitch to purchase a new steering box. Lol
