new guy here... 67 delmont 88

hello everyone,
My name is Aaron and i'm from Massachusetts. Just bought a 1967 Oldsmobile Delmont 88 with only 39k original miles to restore and i'm having a really hard time finding some replacement parts. Anyone know any good websites i can go to and find these interior parts/badges/chrome trim?

It's a matter of searching out the right sources. Not much is reproduced specifically for these cars, but there is some interchangeability with other GM big cars and Olds A-bodies, too. Post up what you're looking for and there are several members here (myself included) who have good knowledge of '67 big cars and can help out. In lots of cases, you'll have to search out used parts.

Fusick.com is always a good place to check. Download their B/C catalog.

Yea... It's been tough finding parts. I need an intermediate parking brake cable, the rear deck cover behind the seat under the rear glass, a headliner, and some exterior chrome trim/ 425 delmont 88 badges

Welcome, post some pic's when you get a chance. If you can't find the stock interior parts you need, contact a reputable auto upholstery shop and see if they can fab those up for you. I'm sure some others will chime in

I got the rear package tray for mine from Ames Performance - a Pontiac vendor - by ordering one for a '67 Catalina 2-dr hardtop. Exactly the same part. I'm sure headliners are available, too. Fusick or Legendary Interiors should be able to get it for you.

The fender emblems are not reproduced and will have to be located used or maybe you'll get lucky and find some NOS on eBay.

The intermediate cable should be ACDelco 18P2281 or NAPA #UP 92386

only picture i have so far. She's not much to look at right now but give it some time and she'll be like a streamline butterfly (10pts if you can guess the movie). Any color choices/combos? i have some rattling around in my head but they are all colors you see often... just wondering if anyone has some cool ideas or not so average colors that they can think of that would look good on this car? I was thinking either pearl white w/ black stripes, or maybe even like a burnt orange with no stripes...

Welcome! Looks like a fun project. I really like the fastback style bodies of the late 60s. I envision doing one in the golden orange color that was used on the Pontiac G6s a few year ago. Would be sharp! Best of luck to you!

Black interiors (as well as white) pretty much make the sky the limit when it comes to exterior color choices.

If it were my car I'd do a metallic color in ..

Med/dark red's
Med/dark blue's
Med/dark green's
Med/dark turquoise/teal's
Med platinum/gray's
Med gold/bronze's *.

* A bronze choice being kinda nostalgic for me in these cars ... being my father had a white 67 he had re-done in a bronzish color (unknown origin) when I was growing up.
(the very car most of my Delmont parts are from BTW)

A color that falls within the available factory colors for the year/model of the car is a nice plus when possible ... but IMHO not 100% necessary.

I think that is only really important on the more sought after - highly collectable type stuff when it comes to re-sale values.

If not using a factory available color for yr/make/model ...

I prefer the thought of using of an EASILY LOOKED-UP DOCUMENTED FACTORY COLOR vs just pulling something out of the sky.

It could be a 79 Cadillac - a 87 Chrysler - a 92 Lincoln - a 2002 Lexus - a 2013 Ford etc etc etc.

But it would be something that in theory ... should be easily obtainable/mixed up from a reputable shop/supplier.

Radical custom colors just seem like they could lead to matching issues later ... if any repairs are needed.
