New Guy Here

Like a lot of people I had an Olds back in high school. Sure wish I had it today but I did find a '56 Olds like it. Needs a lot of work of course. Found a 324 with Hydromatic behind it and picked that up yesterday.
The '56 is in line behind of few other vehicles though. My wife has a '66 Chevy pickup that I'm in the process of putting a rebuilt 283 into soon. After the pickup, next comes a '76 Corvette, then a '52 Ford F1 pickup, then it's a question what's next, maybe the Olds.
As you can tell I have a few projects waiting in the wings.

Welcome to CO

Well it's obvious to me you have your priorities mixed up:

1. Olds
2. chev pickup
3. Ford pickup
4. Corvette

Are we clear now

Nice collection and this is a great place for Olds information

Hi Wally and welcome from another 56 Olds owner. My car was somebodys High School ride. It has a Parkville High school Student parking decal on the windshield. I am getting some frosting on the glass and keep putting off replacing the windshield because of the decal. I get a lot of comments on that decal.

Citcapp,
If it was up to me the Olds would be first BUT sometimes we don't get to set our own priorities. If you didn't notice the '66 Chevy pickup belongs to my wife and as they say "Happy wife, happy life."
Hopefully some of these projects won't take me too long and maybe the Olds can be raised in the priority list.

Whipolds,
Nice looking '56. That is the paint scheme I am planning for my '56.
I tracked down my original car back in the late '70s but it had gone to the crusher. You wonder how people could do that to such a beautiful car???

Maybe it wasn't so beautiful by the time it was crushed!

It's neat, though, that you were actually able to track it after it was no longer yours. Many of us would like to be able to trace the ownership history of our old cars back to the original purchaser, but unless the car is either on maybe its first or second owner or the original paperwork stayed with the car through its life, this is usually not possible.
