New guy here
Hello,
I'm Mike from North East, MD. I have two 1972 Cutlass's, One is a 72 S and the other is a convertible.
The 72 S was my grandfather's car. I used it as a daily driver until 4 years ago. It's now in the garage and is waiting patiently. It's rusty, but damn near 100% original. It's yellow with a black vinyl top and black bench seat interior. Plans call for cloning it (don't yell) and converting it to buckets and a console.
I just picked up the convertible, and other than towing it home from CT and covering it in the driveway I don't really know a whole lot about it. However, I do know it's gonna need some sheetmetal!! LOL.
I fell in love with the 70-72's when I was a kid riding in my grandfather's 72 S. What a car. Even with the small 350 2bbl that thing cruises. Such a smooth ride even today. I've owned Chevy 350 cars and trucks, but the Olds engines just seem so much smoother.
When I got married, I had an orange 70 442 W30 w/ dual gate that took me 6 years to buy from this old man. Then my first born came along and you know the rest of that story. That car could pull tree stumps out of the ground!
Anyway, been reading all kinds of posts here for a while, and what a great site. Love the detailed restorations and parts listings. Also love the wealth of knowledge contained here!!
Just wanted to introduce myself. Love the site and Thank you!!
Mike

Mike: Welcome to CO, and to your new, and old, Oldsmobile's. Yep, pictures. Great you have your Dad's Olds to restore. Don't let her get away!! my wife and your wife would get along pretty well, as Juju has seen tears in my eyes over one of the Oldsmobile's, at times.
Welcome. I am partial to the 70-72's. I have had my current 72 convertible 17 years and it is my second one. I love the lines of these cars, especially the Supremes. It is neat you have your Grandfather's car.
