New Guy Here

Proud new owner of a '77 Cutlass. I previously owned a '76 and an '83. I purchased the '77 recently from Milford Auto Sales out of Hopedale, MA. Had it shipped here to Oklahoma. Flushed the fluids and in the process of replacing all Hydraulics including Master cylinder, calipers, brake lines and Wheel Cylinders. Car only has 25,000 miles but has sat for a while. Not going to take a chance on pitting. Other than that it is in great shape.

Needless to say I am a happy camper and very glad to be back with a Cutlass. Thanks Scott.

Bob

Welcome, Bob. Great looking '77, looking forward to hearing more about it and seeing more photos.

In fact, before you remove the said parts, have you taken detailed photos of the original factory markings, decals, etc.? If not, you may want to do so.

Also, if you remove any original parts, don't throw them away or offer them as "cores" to a parts store. Keep them and put them away, you'll thank yourself later.

macrover,

Thanks for the advise. I will provide additional pictures soon. Yes I plan on keeping everything. Trying to learn the history of the car. I will provide that as much as possible also.

Looking for ideas for the front license tag. Rear will be personalized (let you know when I get it in the mail).

Looking for ideas for the front tag. Such as OLDSMOBILE, 1977 CUTLASS, OLDS CUTLASS, etc.

The car was built in Framingham, MA and was sold in Westfield, NJ from Reilly's Oldsmobile. Looking for something along that line.

Welcome, Nice find with only 25k miles Bob. Any other plans other than personalised plates once you flush all the fluids and give it a tune up?

Pretty much going to keep her as original as possible. Only providing maintenance now for safety since it was setting for a while. I don't have any other plans for the '77.
