New guy from east lansing
Hello All, My name is Jim , I grew up in Lansing , a mile south of the Oldsmobile main plant, where my dad worked for 30 years. That being said, I "BLEED" Oldsmobile
, "HAHA". Ive owned more than 30 Oldsmobile's over 30 years, none of witch were mint, but Ive had some nice ones, I currently possess a 1969 Cutlass project car, and a 1974 Cutlass H/O Indy pace car, festival car #71, that is also a running, driveable project car. I also have a 1970 Mercury Cyclone, just for the FORD of it.(Im not a brand snob) Just came upon this forum, and it looks like a good place to learn and share info. Thanks Guys

Thanks guys, amazing what you can do with smoke and mirrors, and a little photo-shop,(LOL). For a good summary of how I got this car, you can go on the 1973-1977 olds forum, search cutlassjim, look for my newbie thread, and it will tell the whole story, Its kinda cool. I have more pics there under my profile.

Hi Jim. I'm also from Lansing. Lived right off Kalamazoo St. My Dad and I worked at Oldsmobile. Him from 1950-1980. Me 1966-71. Then went to work for Demmer Corp.
To build Hurst Olds. till 1976. I built my own 1967 442 on the assembly line that i have now how cool is that. Bring s back memories. Moved to Houston bought a OLd School parts house. You can say oldsmobile runs threw my veins. Let's talk. I miss
Michigan but not the Winters.

I've seen alot of stange ones go thru there. Under the radar you know what i mean always after hours. 1974 442 with non stock motor 4speed, heater, radio delete and 4.33 gear. Some people my say no but i know better. If i remember right it was for Cooper Chevy Olds.
I grew up in Lansing and lived in the shadow of Frandor shopping center and STORY OLDS Dealership. My grandfather bought all his Olds from there and I bought my first Olds from STORY. I too just found this sight. It looks like a good forum for knowledge and Olds friends. Welcome aboard.
I hail from a half hour north of Muskegon.
1969 h/o clone project
A few pics of 69 project. Originally purchased in Georga, I bought it in 1991 from a kid who got it as a graduation present, and lost interest in it. Bucket seats, column shift, originally dark blue, red when I got it. I had it set up as a RAM ROD 350 with w-30 inner fenders, and under bumper RAM AIR.
Jim- You came to the right place. I'm restoring my 71 442 original owner (my bride) and without the help of the guys on here I couldn't do it. So much knowledge. Welcome aboard and enjoy!
