Welcome and love the wagon!

I just got my VC and it's in about the same shape as yours.

Welcome to the site and the car looks to be very promising. As a child my friends dad had one and It was so cool to ride in. I have to say its a shame they parked it with 3/4 tank in it. Definitely drain that. Oldspackrat may have some parts for you.

There seems to be a good number of Olds people around Ottawa. I was at Rideau Raceway for a Wednesday night cruise in June and even with the threat of thunder showers there were three or four 69-72 Oldsmobiles there.

Hello and welcome. I have some VC stuff if you are in my area and can pick up. I have a couple of '71 Vistas. Tinted or clear. Super tint or chrome coat. Trim, etc. '70 hood, front bumper.

Welcome aboard. I almost bought a 70 VC for my son a couple years ago. Lots of 70-72 parts share compatibility. The front grills are very hard to get tho. Ottawa uses a lot of salt in the winter, so check out the frame and pans before you committ a lot to the car.

Hope your project works out for you. Is this a 350 or 455 car?

If you can't find any locally, look for the local custom shop. They'll have a line on whoever does custom glass work. When you chop a car, nothing fits and all the glass is made to order. Costs more up front, but you get brand new glass right now, instead of chipped, pitted and salt etched glass that's been 40 years under stress.

Just a thought.

Its a 350 car, built in Michigan and its from Virginia, the guy bought in new and he had a farm in Bristol QC that's where I found it, and it hasn't turned a key since 1982, been in a barn for 32 years it was last regesterd in Virginia in 1981, it still has original tires on it lol

There are enough VC parts cars to get the glass. It's the same from 68-72 BTW.
Another thing that most people don't realize is it's the same glass for:
68-72 Buick Sport Wagon
68-72 Olds Cutlass flat top wagon
68-72 Chevelle wagon
68-72 Pontiac Lemans wagon

so there's lots of options to pick from.

Hi Matt. I'm new here as well from 2 hours northwest of Toronto. I was very close to driving 7 hours to buy that car when I saw it on kijiji. I'm glad you got it and plan on saving it. I was looking at it for the vista glass for my 69 Vista. You have a very unique car for this area in Canada. Don't see many Vista Cruisers on the road. Thats why I love driving mine!!!!! Good luck with your project
