New Guy with a 64 Starfire
Hi, my name is Tobie.
I am technically the second owner of a beautiful un molested 1964 Starfire. My father in law bought it from the original owner who was my neighbor, he never got the title changed over before he died. So on paper I am the second owner. She dose not run right now do to bad fuel pump. she has one dent and no rust. The dash is jacked up from where someone stole the original radio... go figure. She needs sum surface rust removed and a paint job but she looks great to me.

Why would anyone jack a factory 1964 Oldsmobile radio? Even if it were an AM-FM, it doesn't fit much else. You can use a radio panel from any 1964 full-size Olds if it got hacked up bad.
Fuel pump is not going to be on the shelf at any modern parts store, though NAPA may be able to get you one. These pumps can be rebuilt. If you have that done, make sure the rebuilder uses parts compatible with modern fuels otherwise you'll be doing it again in a few months.
You can install an inline electric fuel pump too, just make sure the fuel pressure is below about 6 psi or it will overwhelm the 4GC Rochester carb.
Enjoy your Starfire. They have their quirks, but to me are still the ultimate Oldsmobile.

Thanks for the warm Welcome. I found a place called
Antique Auto Parts Cellar, where you can order rebuild kits for the fuel pump. Seems like a good place to start unless someone knows some place better.
