I've been on ROP for a few years and it's gone to h3ll so I decided to come over here and see what's goin on.

When I was born in 1985 my parents were using thier 4 speed 70 4-4-2 for a daily driver and it was the very first car I ever rode in. I was doomed right from the start! When i turned 16 I started bracket racing the same 4-4-2 in High School class off and on until we got my 85 Cutlass goin.

I recently got rid of my 5.0 Mustang and came back to the reliable Cutlass for a daily get around. Pretty proud that my grocery getter has a 455 and TH400.

Thanks Guys. The best 1/4 mile time is 12.94 @104 hangin the left front about a foot in the air for a few feet. That was an original piston 4bbl 455 with big valve G heads, Lunati bracket master cam and cast iron intake. I think with the Holley Street Dominator intake it should be down in the 12.70's now but I haven't had a chance to get it on the 1/4 yet.

 

Your Olds look's like a thrill to drive. I can tell from here you have a big smile on your face when you lay the hammer down

Welcome. This forum is alot more tame than ROP.

 

Nice choice of color on your car. Glad you found this place. I think my cars' 1/4 mile times would be competitive with yours if they were pushed off a large bluff...but I have had no way to actually prove this.
