Hi hows it going? Im new ,I dont have an Olds right now but I have 2 2nd gen Monte Carlos (I know Chevy ,some dont like them) I also have a Buick Regal GS and a Pontiac G8 and I love old cars and am pretty handy too . Anyhow I had a 78 Olds Regency coupe that my friend now has and is just about done restoring to a very high standard looks great so far also Im helping out a friend with his 71 Cutlass Supreme. I am really an Olds fan (really all GM but I gravitate to Olds and Pontiac) .Im in NY about an hour north of the city line.

 

It's not so much Chevy we don't like. It's putting Chevrolet engines in Oldsmobiles that we don't like.

What year MC? Always thought they did a nice job with the 73 and 74; didn't like the 75 louvered taillights (and that's on any car, not just the 75 MC), and though 76-7 were stylish cars, seems like MC, Ford Elite/LTD II and Chrysler Cordobas all looked the same those years. Personal observations of course.

I dont care for any "engine brand swaps" either.

2nd gen. 1st gen are 70-72.

I saw your 73 there from a distance but didn't get much time in that area of showfield. When looking at Chevrolets I tend to get hung up in ElCaminos and 65-69 Impalas.
