New Guy

Hey ,
I just registered a week or so ago and have already found this site to be super helpful. My name is mike and I've been an oldsmobile guy even before i knew it. My first car ride ever was in a 77 delta 88 2-door when i was brought home from the hospital. Oldsmobiles are all my father(for the most part) and I have ever owned(except for my 06 silverado). My first car was a 72 Delta royale with a 350. I got in 2001, it was all rust and bondo but still ran when i gave it away(and probably still does). My current projects are a 67 cutlass supreme convertible that i've had for about 8 years since i graduated from high school and I also own a 1959 Dynamic 88 4dr that kind of fell in to my lap. Im in the process of doing some serious rust repair on the 67(quarters, p/s floor) its taking forever but its moving along slowly. College gets more attention than the cars for now. The 59 is mostly original with a 371 and russet(like a goldish brown) paint. It was my daily driver when i was stationed at camp pendlton. Its waiting its turn for restoration. The site is great and thanks for listening.
Mike

Welcome Mike.
Cleveland?
I know where that is.
Buckeyes Rule!!!
Ever go to Solon?

I'm in Bainbridge Twp., there is this person named Sandy/Cutlassgal in Twinsburg that will be having a big party to paint her engine when the weather turns and I have nothing better to do, all are invited, free booze and food, you can stay there too.
Otherwise you may want to steer clear of her.
There are many N.E. Ohio area peoples on here, we should start a gang.

Go Buckeyes!
I'm a Toledo boy living out in San Diego these days.
My girl is from Eastlake and we met out here.

That's funny too Mike, my father's car when I was born was a 77 delta.
Brown 2-Door.
He went on to own 2 other Delta 88's since then. a 1988 and a 1994 until they stopped making them.

Solon car show

"Ever go to Solon?"

I haven't been to the solon commons show since like 2002. My girlfriend is from solon and I've been meaning to go that show but never get around to it. Is it on Wedsdays or Tuesdays? I cant remember. If I get out there Ill look for a blue vista cruiser. Unfortunately neither of my cars will likely be there anytime soon.

Bo, you have one of the coolest usernames I've ever seen in Oldsworld. I can about guarantee there's people here who don't know about the 1959 "Linear Look" Oldsmobiles.

How many people did you freak on base with the PNDSLR shift pattern?

Welcome to our site, Mike! Another "worthless nut" from Ohio! I know where Cleveland is also, but I don't go there!

Yep... you're more than welcome to join our engine paintin party! Bluevista is going to do a most wonderful job! Just bring a tent - I think the upstairs of the garage is full already! When you go to Solon, look for The Prettiest One too - we don't go every week, though. Stop and say hi! Last year it was Tuesday nights, I believe

Most people couldnt get past a metal dash board, but the shift pattern confused those who were brave enough to drive it
