Greetings all, im trying to finish restoring my 1962 olds 98 holiday sedan but I have no brakes. The car runs but im needing to change the brake booster and brake master cylinder. Does anyone have any advice on where I can purchase these items or know what alternative booster and brake master cylinder I could purchase instead of the original??? Please help. I've had this car for over 4 years and have yet been able to drive it except to the back yard! Lol

Their website would beg to differ:

Failing that, try Kanter

If you are not able to obtain the parts from a local supplier, an alternative may be to have them rebuilt. I had to have my booster rebuilt and was very satisfied with the service I received from -

Actually, we can help you with your parts search. Unfortunately, we do not have a power brake booster you are looking for, yet we have a brake master cylinder made for your Ninety-Eight model. Follow the link to see prices and other details: http://www.carid.com/cardone/brake-m...-13-35026.html
Feel free to contact me anytime if any additional questions appear.

I had the treadlevac on my 54 rebuilt by Karp's Power Brake Service and have been very pleased. Here is the link:

Jay, there' a gentleman in an adjoining state to you that has rebuilt Olds treadle Vacs for many years and does an excellent job.He advertises in Hemmings, and my personal experience with him has been superb. He is Ed Strain of Pinellas Park Florida(1-800-266-1623). If you haven't already mad a decision ,give him a call. Larry
Larry:
I think those are Starfire wheel covers which would look really good on his car. They may have used them on the 98 also. That is a good price. Of course they will probably go up from there.

Thanks D.Yaros, you jogged my memory by mentioning the clips.word of caution .If the clips are not included in this sale mentioned in post # 11, they are useless,so don't buy them unless you find out that the clips come with the hubcaps. And Redoldsman, I think they may be the same as Starfire Caps on 1962's ,but some of the Starfire caps were color coded to match the car. Larry
Hi Larry, welcome to Classic Olds, the clips for these caps are available from Fusick Automotive. They are aftermarket and are correct,I'm using them on my car. The hubcaps in the picture are for the 98 as well.

I've reached out to each company and am waiting for a response hopefully early this coming week. I'll keep you posted.
