So, these would be my assumptions then...
1. Appearance package was ordered as an option;
2. Dual exhaust was ordered as an option;
3. Not sure about the 4bbl carb, will need to figure that out;
4. Rear spoiler was ordered as an option;
These are just the newbies assumptions, not too sure if I even have the ability to confirm any of this.

- The appearance and handling package was called the W29 option. It called for deletes on some trim, and addition to handling such as the FE2 suspension. Your car was not a W29 factory car though.
- Dual exhaust was indeed an option. It was RPO N10, and was a down turned exhaust from the factory. Only the U code, V code and X code (W30) cars got the cutout rear bumpers and trumpet exhaust.
- The Cutlass S base engine was the L32 (350 2bbl). Anything other than that with the car was an option. This is verified by your VIN. The 4bbl 350 was RPO L34
- No, it wasn't. It wasn't even on the RPO list for 1972. It was dropped in 1971 so the only way to get that is by dealer install (as noted by myself and others above)

The good news is that all 5 of his cars ARE STILL IN THE FAMILY
1. 1959 Nash 2 door hard top
2. 1978 Chevy ElCamino
3. 1960 Morris Minor
4. 1961 Rover 4 door sedan
5. 1955 Chevy Cameo 1/2 ton ***His prize possession***
All awesome...

spoiler mounts
Always great to hear when someone did their research and knew what they were buying, well done. It's a great looking car and I'd be pleased as punch to own it as well. What show are you planning in Vancouver? Might have to try to get over for it!
I'm not sure if Oldsmobiledave's terms may have been confusing...as far as I know the spoiler only ever had 2 pedestals (uprights between the trunk lid and the horizontal) but the mounting hardware of the original had 3 points on each base while the repro's only have 2.

Was wondering if the 72 showed up on time? I see you hadn't posted since last week, figured you been out driving the wheels off of it. Great looking car, have fun.

Sorry to hear about the delays, it's like waiting for Christmas with a moving date! Hope the weather holds in your area so you can enjoy it. Getting my 64 ready today for the last show I usually go to before hibernation. Local cruise in at Lumpy's Diner - Car Show and Hamburger Eating contest, supports local Veterans Charities. I know our weather has been changing here in Nor Cal/Bay Area.

Dmacalli, _ _ _ nice find !
Have you been getting any sleep at night ? hahaha _ _ _ pins and needles in waiting.
That is what I like about the parts-chase, we never know what 'treasures' lie in wait for us, right ! I am here to learn from others on a good direction on a 455 olds engine build.
I restored and drove a '56 Chevy Nomad wagon from '78 to '98 and sold the car when I took a state job on the Pacific Coast in Eureka, California. I had no garage to park it in, so I parted company with it. Hey, you mention in your thread profile, your uncle has a '55 Cameo. I had a chance 30-years ago to purchase a '57 Cameo for $1500 and didn't have the money at the time and had to pass. it was a rust-free arid Calif pickup. Enjoy that Cutlass ! _ _ _ when you get it.
And, it will be quite a conversation-piece at the gas pumps.

Hey Len... Thanks! Just watching the hands on the clock tic down, ultra painful! Will be here soon though... Good ole 53 foot trailer rolling up in the neighborhood, should be quite the sight.

Thanks Allan! Had it out in the driveway for the last couple of hours, wiping it down.... Had 5 separate neighbours "stop by" and check it out. One of them snagged a soft cloth and started to help! Haha...

Nice car, welçome from Melville, Saskatchewan. At least you now own one nice car, I hate SUV's and not really a truck fan either, the crossovers are dreadful to look at, tiny tops and fat bottoms. My Wife drives a 2017 Dodge Challenger Go Green GT, 35 mpg and AWD. Now I just need to get my 70S as nice as your car. The Olds 350 is a great motor just no powerhouse stock, especially the 71 an up unless there were upgrades done. Enjoy the hell out of that car and drive it everywhere in nice weather.
