New to forum
HELLO;
My name is Ken. I am new to the forum today. I have just became the owner of a 1957 Olds 98 Convertable. I want to improve this car and hope
to have it in pristene condition in the future.
I had a 57 Fiesta Wagon in my younger days the same color as this Convertable and always liked the Olds Brand. It was also my Father's
Brand of choice, as he had 5or6 Olds' in my childhood.
Thanks.
Ken

Why we own Oldsmobiles

Welcome, I haven't been a member all that long myself but find it interesting why people own/appreciate Oldsmobiles. In your case it appears to be appreciation and brand loyalty.
In my case it was "Olds envy" as in 1950 my Dad bought a new Pontiac. Even at age 10 I was keen on cars and knew he should have bought a new Olds with the V8 instead of that tired old "Silver Streak" with the dated L head straight 8.

Welcome aboard Ken!
I'd say you're well on your way to restoring to "pristine' condition. Hopefully you'll document your progress as you go. Start a thread on your restoration and post the details as you go. Lots of times folks will surf these threads looking for clues about 'how to' do things with their cars too.
Why, your car is even younger than I am

57 / 98 Convertable
Guys;
I was lucky and the 98 was pretty well done when I bought it. I am hoping to bring it to another level that it deserves. It is a majestic
old girl.
Thanks for the welcome and the info from the site.
