new car new here

just bought a 73 delta 88 convert. the car is pretty solid seems rust free (rare in new england) green .white top white interior . 350 . owned by a friend of mine for 10 yrs . I am planning a makeover . are there after market suppliers like i use for my chevs? yr one , l.m.c etc? would be looking for weather stripping, misc chrome , any repop bumpers out there? any leads or advice would be appreciated . Peter

I don't think you're going to have much luck. Weather stripping might be the same as a Chebby B-body. Repop bumpers? You're obviously still in the Chebby world there... Used, repaired, rebuilt, that's par for the course with Oldsmobile. I have a Chebby friend, he says this is the main reason, so he can open up a catalog and order a new part and have it there the next day. Oldsmobile guys don't have this luxury.

thanks . so far the convert top and weather stripping would be my priorities then front and rear bumpers i will look into rechrome or used thanks

I'm pretty sure the top will be the same as for the other cars, or at least available. Have fun with it, there's a certain sense of Oldsmobile pride that you can't get when you pull up with the same car that everybody else has.

thanks for that link they have a deluxe kit for convert for under $800.00 cant gripe about that .
