New 442 Owner from AZ!
Hi All - I just purchased a 1969 442 project car and am anxious to get started on the resto journey! Typical background story - when I was a kid I had a 70 W31 - too fast for my own good and had to sell! Always wanted to get another Olds but really desired a BBO/442. Looking forward to engaging with folks in this forum (lot of experts here!) and contributing as well. Thanks All!

Should have added - car has 455 swap and TH400....lots of little things to fix. Has C heads but unknown piston type/CR. Would like to maximize output - will follow one of the posted recipes for an engine build.

Nice looking 442! Check out the local Olds club if you're in the metro Phoenix area. They meet at the Pavilions in Scottsdale on the the 3rd Saturday of the month (except summers).

Hi acavagnaro - Thanks! Do you have any pics of your Crimson 69?

Don't want to hijack your thread and introduction. I actually have two '69's. The Crimson car is a Cutlass S with bench seat and factory 4-speed. The Topaz car is a 442 which I've owned since the mid-'80's and restored over the course of the last almost 40 years.
