New 442 Owner
So this isn't my "first" post, but I needed some input from the members here before I made the jump and bought my '72 442 last weekend. A little background, my first muscle car back in high school was a '72 Cutlass, and I've thought about getting another one for years. I've been looking around on the internet, and stumbled on a '72 442 convertible that ticked all the boxes for what I wanted....'72, 442, convertible, lot's of options (PS/PB/AC/PW/power top/cruise), nice condition. So I did a lot of research, mostly on this forum, and decided to go for it.
It drives like a dream and it's ready for weekend cruising, but there are some little projects I can do here and there to improve or detail it. I think it fits in well with my other cars, especially my '68 GTO. Both cars drive great...the GTO is a modified car that is exciting and fast, the 442 is stock, smooth, and relaxing to drive.
Anyway, thanks to the forum for having great info to help me make my decision.

Thanks for the compliments on my garage and cars. The garage was a long-term project, spent over a year thinking about it, planning it, and designing it before we broke ground. I love it, definitely my favorite place to spend time.
I should point out that I do work in there, too, haha...I rebuilt the front suspensions on the GTO and Javelin in there, as well as numerous other projects over the last 3-4 years. Planning some major upgrades for the Javelin, basically creating a restomod. That was one reason for the 442 purchase, it's so nice and stock that it can be my dependable cruiser while the others are apart for modifications, upgrades, etc. And I've wanted a '72 442 vert for years anyway.
