need help identifying year

I have attached a picture of my Dad's first car. He thinks it is a 1955. Can anyone help verify the year and model if it is even possible from the picture? What has me confused is the color scheme for the car in the picture is white top blue hood and white bottom. Every 1955 I can find pictures of has white top, white hood and blue bottom. Also he remembers his being a 2-door and standard trans. Thanks for your help.

I believe your barking up the right tree with a 1955. 88 non holiday coupe?
Here is a link to a 1955 brochure, read through it.

This Is Definitely A 1955 ,Probably a Regular "88" Series Going By The "dog Dish" Hubcaps.

If You Google 1955 Olds.Images you Will See A '55 That's Coral on Hood And Trunk and White On Rear of Car And Below Side Moulding .it's Rare but your Dad's Was Probably Blue On Front End And White On Bottom. larry
