I just discovered that the ground wire for the street fire ignition control box was not connected. Because it it late, I live in a subdivision, and only have straight pipes I feel it appropriate to try and start it tomorrow morning.
I do have a fuel leak where one of the two lines connect into to carb. Maybe some Teflon wrap will work?

a typical issue when starting a new engine is having the distributor in wrong. Will have spark but at the wrong time. Take #1 plug out and then check to make sure you are at top dead center. You can put your finger over the #1 plug hole and bump over the engine with the starter till it blows your finger out. That should be very close. then check your timing mark to ensure you are at TDC. Now take the distributor cap off and ensure the rotor is pointed to #1 spark plug wire on the cap. Now make sure you are wired the correct direction and firing order 18436572 put the cap back on and the plug back in and try it again. I also assume you know to have it run at fast idle for 20 minutes to break in the cam.
Hope this helps.
