My new 70 Cutlass Supreme
After a 2 month wait, the 70' model Cutlass Supreme I bought in Washington state was actually loaded on a transport today. Im excited. Should be here in Sulphur Springs, Tx this Sunday or Monday. Supposed to be a 46k org miles. 350 4bbl car with bucket seats. Hope its as clean in person as in pics. Wish me luck.

Welcome to C.O. Looks like a nice rig! When you get the bugger can you take a pic of the cowl tag. Color appears to be Astro Blue.
Also, I spotted a couple of minor correctness issues but other than that very nice! But also I am very partial to what you have!

Is it possible that he has a mid 70's 350 in it ? My 72 has a 76 motor in it , and they came in blue .

OP - when you get the car post the letter from the front of the head and the number from the front of the block behind the water pump and we can determine what's in there. Who knows, maybe its a 455 but they kept the 350 air cleaner?

Here is the vin # 342570G148693. Can you guys tell me the incorrectness that you already see? I gather the 455 blue on the 350 is one. Others? I will get cowl tag info when it gets here.

Welcome to the site Eric! Very nice looking car.
3 - Oldsmobile
42 - Cutlass Supreme
57 - Holiday coupe
0 - 1970 model year
G - Built at Framingham, MA
148693 - Build sequence at Framingham. (not related to number on cowl tag)
When you get the car, also check the block to see if it has this number 396021F. If it does that's a 455. You know where to look for that number right?

As you can see in the pic this is from a 1971 car (#7 on the heads) but that's the same place it will be on your car. It should read as follows: 30G148693
Another thing to look for if it's just the valve covers that have been painted? The Olds 350 casting for will be 395558 2. The heads -403859- should also have a number 6 cast on them (above the #1 and 8 cylinders)

Thank you greatly. I will research it heavily when it gets here. Where would buildsheet possibly be? I do know its coming with the protecto plate, owners manual, and the customer info brochure. Was the astro blue correct in 1970?

Astro blue (code 25) is a correct color for 1970 Cutlass models. You won't know if it was born in that color without seeing the cowl tag.
Protecto Plate is a nice to have document. Would be great if it also had it's original window sticker. Here's a sample of the build/owner/pp from 1970
Since the car was built in Framingham it could very well have a build sheet hiding inside. Usual places: behind kick panels, under parcel shelf, stuffed into bottom of seat springs, on top of gas tank, Under carpeting. If this truly is a low mile car that hasn't been apart you should at least find the broadcast cards that were part of the build. Just so you know - there's no guarantee you'll find a build sheet in the car.

Cowl tag should read something like this
Body by Fisher
ST 70 34257 G xxxxx BDY
TR973 25 A PNT
xx B85
XX= fill in the blanks
Like others have mentioned build sheet or window sticker will tell the details.

Only thing the PP will really give you information about will be the dealer zone/code and how many miles were on the car when delivered to the original owner. It will also have the cars VIN on it.

Interior: steering column should be blue like the painted surfaces on the dash, Radio-aftermarket.
Exterior: Wheels 68-70 SSII should be argent grey.
Again, still a very nice car and with very few things wrong for 43 years old, I would be proud to own it myself!

Azure blue with a blue vinyl top. Guess this means new paint and top at some time Now to get the motor origination. I found a 409 147 below both sides valve covers. Ring a bell?
