My first ever project car!
Hi everybody! Just picked up my first old American car, a '73 Olds Omega. I understand that parts and such may be harder to come by as the omega is more obscure that say, a cutlass. The first thing I need to know is how to adjust the idle mixture properly. Its a rocket 350 with a rochester 2jet carb. Do i need a special tool or device I'll need for this? Thank you, and please go easy on me. I am a noob.

Welcome to the site, congrats on your new to you project. All you need is a tach or vacuum gauge to adjust the carb. Adjust for the highest vacuum or RPM, keep the mixture screws an even number of turns out.

Welcome. Your Omega is essentially a Nova with a different grille, so most parts are even easier to get than for a Cutlass. The first special "tool" you need to get is a factory Chassis Service Manual, which will detail the carb adjustment process as well as all other repair and maintenance instructions. Good luck.
