Cool Matt from Boston

Hey everybody! I'm Matt from Hyde Park, MA. I'm currently working on a 72 Cutlass coupe with a 68 350. I also have a 68 455 in storage at a buddy's house for future plans. Though I've worked on cars I owned before, this will be my first big restoration project and I'm looking forward to the challenge and payoff of having a great weekend cruiser for myself. I'm currently working on gutting out the interior and getting that prepped and redoing some of the wiring and electrical work. I'm an HVAC mechanic by trade so I'm no stranger to swinging wrenches and have a lot of tools for the job. I'm here to learn as much as I can, get help troubleshooting, and maybe pick up some great ideas to try out in the future. Look forward to chatting with you all sometime!

Welcome VictorZulu.. I grew up in the Waltham/Belmont area. Lived there for 45 years. Been out in cold MN for last 10 years. I have a 64 dynamic 88. This is a good group..they usually have the answer in quick time. Lots of Cutlas lovers so you are in good hands. We all like photos so learn that trick asap. Good luck with the resto. Try Fusicks, US parts supply for some of your parts.

Thanks. I should also add that this isn't my first Cutlass either. I had an 87 Cutlass coupe as my first car in high school. Had a few others since then but the V-8 (307 so barely) rear wheel drive cars are what I cut my teeth on.
Another question, are there any local meets through this site or other Olds clubs to meet, check out cars, and talk Olds in person?

A few more pics as requested by Sean. Like I said, work in progress but it runs and drives (though I need a new battery) and the body is in decent shape. Not too much rust besides a couple small problem areas. Frame is great for a New England car. Enough work to be a fun challenge but not so much that it'll be a total money pit. That is until I decide to build up the 455

Edit because I just realized I can only do one pic per upload.
