Lost car

In 1974 I sold my 1970 442 455 to a guy I worked with in the service stationed at Nellis AFB Nevada. I sure would love to know if that car is still alive.

Good luck finding it. I suggest going to car shows in that area this summer and scouring all the for sale sites.

Jesse, you are way more optimistic than I am. The chances of this car even still existing is pretty slim but being in the same area is even more remote. But then who knows.

Did you search for the buyer, your old Nevada title and your old insurance carrier records?

Maybe describe the car. That may help.

Yeah, chances are slim. Oldsguy and I have day dreamed before about finding his 71 Cutlass S in a field. He sold it about 40 years ago though, so...

After almost 50 years that car could be anything from a rusty spot in the dirt somewhere to a 100% restored car in a Saudi Arabian prince's collection.

So explain what your car looked like and what it was. You could have much better help telling us all what your car was. Oldsmobile people are Oldsmobile people. We look out for each other. Tell us colors etc. Might be a good chance someone might know.

As noted above, post a good description of the car and include pictures if you have some!

Odds are low, but not impossible. Recently a guy who owned my 1970 442 from 1971-84 made a post with pictures on facebook. A couple of my friends commented it looked like my car. Which is was. I gave him a call and we talked for about an hour and a half. I now know why my car had a super T10 and Chevelle 12 bolt when I got it as the original muncie and 3.23 Type O were blown up at the drag strip.

Any chance you still have the VIN?
