Good evening. I recently acquired a 1957 Oldsmobile 88 and had it shipped from California to Michigan. It's been repainted once and other than that it's quite original with less that 75K miles. I may be the fourth owner. In the short time I've had it I can tell that some work has been done, and some has not. It runs, has a few leaks with some electrical/vacuum issues that I hope to diagnose and resolve - hopefully with help from some of you on this forum. I am eager to make improvements and maintain as much of this beauty's originality. My hope is to gain some insights from all of you and to offer mine along the way. I look forward to doing so, David
Thanks Norm. I've had a little trouble uploading photos and would appreciate some help. I get messages that the file is too big or the wrong format. Thanks, David

Good morning, I was finally able to take and add some photos. I also added an album. This forum is great and I appreciate all the input I've received thus far. David 1957 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 2dr, base model
Nice, welcome to CO. Back in the mid '70s, when my sister was dating her future husband, he had a '57 Olds 88. It was much rougher looking then than your car is now.
Jetaway hydramatic four speed automatic. There are some minor transmission leaks (rear seal, shifter shaft seal, and speedometer cable), and need to adjust a first to second shift point (hopefully just a throttle linkage adjustment). Thanks, David
