Hello everybody. Just got my car, a 1965 f85 drop top and of course, I have a ton of questions. Just wanted to say hello, and see if anyone is interested in humoring me...
Welcome! But you must post pictures of your car if you are interested in humor......
👍👍 Here it is. The 65 f85. Never been wrecked, zero bondo. Trim has minimal rust but that's to be expected and from what I understand it's only been repainted once.
Beautiful car! Lots of 64/65 car guys just let us know what you need help with.
Hardest part about owning one is they are addicting and seems most end up with more then one.
also body parts are hard to find good quarters and doors and bumpers. But you can find them usually just miles away.
looks up 1965 fb groups there are several groups lots of good guys and knowledge there as well

Sweeeet car man!
yes it’s an f-85… but it has the cutlass option package so it’s a step above.
Red paint seems to oxidize fast…a good paint correct and buffing will bring that paint back to life for sure.
what are your plans?
Congrats. Technically, Olds didn't offer an "F85" convertible in the 1965 model year. All convertibles were badged as higher-end Cutlass models and came with a Cutlass VIN (338675xxxxxxx). The cowl tag will also say 33867 for the style number. Unlike the F85, Cutlass models came with the 330 and bucket seats as standard equipment. I had a similar 1965 442 convertible in college.
