hello everyone, I just bought a 1977 oldsmobile cutlass. ill get some pictures up as soon as the weather cooperates here in tn. freakin blizzard down here. its a 77, has a oldsmobile 350 stock with the exception of long tube headers,th350 trans. car is super straight but needs some odds and ends. I have a few questions... its a fastback and I noticed there were different roof styles. could someone explain this? also... its black with gold stripes on the rockers and over the wheel arches and has a console shifter with bucket seats... could it be a 442? currently has some ugly daytons on it but ill sell those and put olds rallys back on it. Does this car have a regular gm 8.5 10 bolt under it? and what kind of exhaust would you recommend for the most aggressive sound. Its going to be a weekend cruiser. im bolting up some steelies with 195s up front and hoosier slicks out back till I find rallyes to get it off those daytons. should be a fun car and again ill post pics asap.

Check 73-77olds.com
They should be able to answer your era specific questions. That is the style they did use for the 442 that year, though. The VIN will be able to answer those questions.

Welcome to the site wheelgunner.
I can't show you the 77 year stuff, but take a look at what was offered in 76, a lot like the 75. This might give you a taste until someone can show you the correct stuff.

As you might know, 77 was the end of a body design before entering the G-body phase, which changed a lot.
