Just another FNG- 71 442
Ello!
I love this site... sooo many nice cars. I definitely have 442 envy but am a happy owner of one myself. I bought this 25 years ago and have put VERY few miles on it as the second owner (technically third owner- see below).
It has the original engine, transmission, rear end... everything except the cosmetics. The guy who owned it before me (he owned it for just a couple of months) stripped off the original green paint (which was in perfect condition) and painted it red. He also swapped the original green interior with black seats and black dye. The original wheels were taken for use on another car... wish he would have left it alone.

Very nice. There's a certain regular subscriber to the Newbie & other threads who might have something to say about a perfectly good green paint job being turned to red, but that said the car looks very nice. Welcome to CO.

Citcapp...Speaking of Northwesteners...The car should be done and in Bothell hopfully next week if you still want to take a peek (depending on the weather and me getting the car put back together )
Maybe there needs to be a local NW get together or all of us attend that big cruise in Longbeach WA in September

I think a get together of the NW Classic olds guys would be great. Couple of good local cruise in sites. Taco Time in Lynnwood on Friday Nights, Clearview cruise in on Saturday nights and of course the Triple X in Issaquah. Longbeach would be a great place but you need to book a spot early if you going to stay there.

Where abouts in SE?? Clarkston? Walla Walla? (That's for all you onion lovers out there! )
I'm from down in the Vancouver/Portland area. I also agree that there needs to be more Olds at the Long Beach show! The place is crawling with Camaros, Mustangs, Chevelles, and Novas. Not many Oldsmobiles though.
If get a wild hare and managed to save up $5K for gas, you should go to the Long Beach show. It really a lot of fun, but be sure to reserve a place early.
