Introducing my build plans

Currently planning to do one of the wildest engine swaps I’ve ever seen done. Going to try and swap a Rocket 455 into my Nissan s14 240sx. The car already has a tube framed front end, bc coil overs, and has the rear end out of an infinity q45. I believe the diff is a 3.69. Probably going to use a tremec tkx600 for the trans

here’s a picture of the car, engine, and some of the fucked up crank journals

currently no one has done a swap like this, I think there have been a few bbc swaps but not an Oldsmobile swap. There is currently tons of aftermarket support for ls swaps into 240s, and I think I can modify the motor mounts available for that swap to fit the 455. The biggest challenge will be getting an oil pan to fit, might end up building one myself or having one built. I have a 3 axis 5x10 cnc and can weld so I’m able to fab mounts if needed.

The rocket 455 was swapped into a 1986 gmc c10 by my dad, and given to me as my first car a few years ago when I turned 16. We started noticing some noises so we Parked the truck and it sat for a couple years. Recently I pulled the motor, and tore it apart. It had 3 spun rod bearings that caused the pistons to slightly hit the counterbalance on the crankshaft. The main bearings were also extremely worn but none spun. The journals on the crankshaft are beyond repair so the plan is to go with a full rotating assembly kit, aftermarket cam, and probably going to keep the stock E heads and just port them. This is one of the high compression engines but since I’m replacing the pistons I’m going to try and get even higher compression so I can get the most out of running e-85. Also going to get the block decked and honed

Still figuring out the exact plans but figured I should come here for advice on what to do with the 455. Haven’t decided on which rotating assembly kit to go with or what cam to use. Most likely going to replace the moving parts of the stock heads so I can run a rougher cam.

if anyone has any advice please let me know. I would like to get around 500hp to the wheels

yeah besides the oil pan this will be the biggest challenge. I’ll probably be getting headers before I actually make the mounts just to make sure I mount it in a way headers fit. Sometimes with 240 swaps people have to run the steering column inbetween the headers

Too much motor, not enough car!
This one ought to be fun, I'm watching too.

I think you’d be many miles/dollars and E.T.s ahead if you were to source a cleaner crankshaft!! Que feo!! (Or in English “groovy!”)🤣

I think you should consider 425 internals. Getting enough tire under the body will be a problem.
