I'm gonna miss her!

Hello all,

I was going through some pictures the other day when I first joined CO and found this picture of my '73 Hurst that has since been lost by means of the courts i.e. divorce. Anyway sorry the picture is so ugly I had to use a camera to take a picture of a picture.

Sorry to hear of a loss from a loss... That is a beauty for sure.

It is still possible to get a similar one to make up for it, although it might not feel the same.

I like the '72 Convertible you have there, sure looks sharp on Flickr. What options do you have on that car. What made you want to clone yours to a 442? Reason I ask is I'm pondering cloning my '70 into a 442 and I'm curious to what detail have you gone to in cloning yours.

That's a shame. Sorry to hear about your loss. Hope you can find a decent replacement.

I hope in the future I can find one again and maybe this time a non A/C one. Cool part about that previous one was it was all original except for a repaint that was done poorly by the previous owner.

Many thanks, Steve...
Lady was cloned from a CS to a W29 442 by a previous owner around 10 years ago or earlier. She was like that when i bought her.
I really do not like the idea of cloning, but as long as the clone is never tried to be passed as an original, I am okay with it.
Cloning will be expensive - grilles, emblems, rear suspension upgrade, filling old emblem holes, W29 hood and louvers, hood stripes, etc...

As for original options, she has the front split bench seat, SSIIIs, lights and mirror package, rear radio speaker, front disk brakes, deluxe seat belts, superlifts, and maybe a few other things I forgot.

Rob's added factory type options are power windows, power locks, cruise control, Rally Pac, F41 suspension (have parts but not installed yet), and hood lock.
Aftermarket added options are power antenna (hole was already cut in the RR qtr), AM/FM cassette, 50Wx4 amp and 6 speakers, full dynamat, warning chime package, seat heaters, and alarm system.

Of course...
The car will bring lots of joy, lots of value, will accept any amount of TLC without complaining, won't betray you, and will never leave home without ya...
