Welcome aboard.
Nice SX, has that weathered and patina'd look that suggests it was neglected in the past?
I realize you're probably in the stages of just getting it drivable so that's why the rad and battery are missing, and other hoses and vacuum lines aren't installed.
The base motor on the 71 SX was the 455 4bbl and it looks like yours is probably original? I'm guessing your car is an early build by looking at the fenders = the DS shows the fender ledge without crumple ridges.
Not a lot of Cutlass models were ordered with Cruise control either so nice find! I'm going to guess that this car has 2.56:1 rear axle gears to go with that cruise. 2.56:1 was the standard gear on the CS back then too.
The vinly roof is called "Halo" (yup, just like the game). It was only offered in 70 and 71.
What kind of plans do you have for the car?

Right now it is setting in the desert out by Las Vegas about 1500 miles from me in SD. I just purchased it couple weeks ago and have not seen it yet with me own eyes.
Been setting for 15+ years. Mostly all surface rust except front rocker.
Was thinking of getting it painted and running out there, drive back this spring and finish. Just want a good driver quality SX try to keep most original.
Do they have spell ck on this forum?

No, the spell check has to be in your browser. I use Google chrome and it works perfectly. Lol - I it underlined google because it wasn't capitalized.
Why would you get it painted there and then finish it at home? I'd be more inclined to just drive it home and check out what it really needs before someone with a love for bondo and sandpaper gets turned loose on it.
Definitely ask the seller if he has the rad (should be a 4 core) and rad top plate. If it's been sitting for a long time it likely needs the brakes checked, oil, trans, exhaust etc. Is it worth just having it shipped to you, or do you know someone who has a flatbed you could use/borrow?
