Thanks,i see now for a fact that the rmp air gap is indeed too tall.now the air gap was my idea not the mechanic.
I think the edelbrock performer will fit,what are yur thoughts.

Well if you go with the performer intake match your intake with carb I hear that gives better results.

What are you going to use the car for? Are you building it to race of just tool around town? I'm assuming your in the learning stages of the car hobby and a less complicated setup would be beneficial. Since a Performer manifold will accept square or spreadbore carbs, you can go with a Quadrajet (first choice), Edelbrock 750 Performer series or AVS, Holley 3310 or Avenger, or any of the Holley vac secondary clones, BG, QFT, etc..

Ok fellas, i decided to go with the vacuum secondary .now i need help on deciding on,a holley or a edelbrock or even maybe the q-jet.770
like i said i plan on still being able to cruze.
my decision will be based on the. carb that get the most votes
i forgot to mention,I'm going with the edelbrock performer intake manifold .

Go with Quick Fuel 750. Best bang for the buck.

How important is mpg...if not so much I like Holleys.Everything mentioned above works well.Tuning skills would be a big benefit.
