I have a 1987 442 w moon roof. I am finding it hard to find actual 442 pieces i need. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am also trying to figure out why my vin # says it is front wheel drive. thank you for your time Todd

Welcome aboard. Your VIN won't tell you if it's front wheel drive. All the 87 Cutlass models were RWD. It was in 1988 that Olds transitioned to FWD after producing the RWD models for several months. If your 87 is a true 442, the eighth placeholder in the VIN should be '9' which is the engine.

If you look at the bottom of the trunk lid there should be RPO codes listed for your car. Take a cell pic or copy them down and post them. The 442 should have engine code LG8

Thank you all, for the welcome. i understand that it was in 88 fwd was worked in but when i ran my vin on two different sites they both came back with fwd lol. The sticker in the trunk is too faded to read bummer. It has the metal tag on fire wall and it says that it is a 442.
As for parts i will start with the ones i know for sure. The 15" chrome and gold wheels that came only on the 442 in 1987. The dark gray / black dash inserts and the upper door panel 442 emblems. More to come when i pull the 40 over 350 rocket out 1972 model. lots missing there.
I would also love to find the service manuels dealer type. In need of factory wiring diagrams interior type. power antenna ,ac so on.
