Hi from Colorado

Hello everyone,

Here's a few shots of my 1968 442 convertible. It's numbers matching with a 4 speed. I will be building a 1965 400 B block with C heads to replace the original motor this winter. The build thread will be posetd in the Big Block section. I look forward to everyones advice and comments during the bulid.

P.S. Does anyone have a link to make the actual photos appear in your posts?

Signup at Photobucket or Flickr which are both free. You can upload your photos to there, then once they're there use the copy and paste options to put them in your thread. That's how I get photos to show up in the threads. John

Thanks 2Blu I'll do that.

citcapp.. I'm thinking in between. Home porting of the C heads, W31 forged pistons, performer intake, Qjet, and a cam. I would like headers, but haven't found ones that will fit the 4speed ragtop.

I see you also borrowed the dash switches from a full sized 68 Olds. They definitely brighten up the dash.

geo: Previous owner did that, and also used various non matching paints to redo the plastic trim and metal dash. Or the bonehead mechanic he was using did, actually I should thank him because tha'ts how i ended up with it... The owner had the trans rebuilt, and shortly after it broke again. The owner he had enough, and put it up for sale. When I called about it the car was already sold. I politely asked the owner to write down my number and call me if the deal fell through. Two days later he called me!

I had to overhaul the tranny, replace the clutch and flywheel, and overhaul the entire brake system. I'm still running the original four drum maniual brakes, but I did add power steering.

Hello, Colorado, and welcome to CO! Not only do we like '68 wagons, we also like '68 convertibles, for some reason! Keep the pictures coming!!!
