Hi!
Hi!
My name is Tim Cobb, I have been woking on cars as long as I can remember. My dad was a engineer/fireman on the railroad and in his off time he would work on the local Police dept's cars and the communities service equipment. We always had cars at the house for repair, later on he would work on construction equipment and introduced us to hydraulics and diesels. Dad would go to the local junk yard and get old carbs, starters, distributors, and just about any other rebuildable part and let my brother and me tear them apart and hone, lap or rebuild just about everything. I (with some help from Dad) rebuilt my first engine when I was 10 years old a flat head 4 cyl out of a 53' Jeep. Some of my earliest memories include a summer vacation to Fla in a 1964 Dynamic 88 convertible and pretty much all of my childhood there was at least 1-2 Olds parked in our drive just took them for granted back then. Some of the ones I remember are 2 64's Dynamic's 1 4dr, 1 convertible, a 65 f-85 convertible, 3 66's a Dynamic, 2 Delta's, and a 68' Cutlass. When I was 15 years old I got my first Olds a very unique 69' 88 coupe that had a limo style rear window and an extended rear floorpan. Dummy me had to have a Camaro and I lost my way for many years. Built many cars, trucks, tractors and Jeeps over the years but always missed the Oldsmobiles. Now I'm back and I am introducing my youngest to the wonderful world of Oldsmobile, with a 72' 98 I just picked up with an origional 51,000 on it. I might just have to get out that old brass belt buckle and give it a polish.
