Hello all. I'm new to the forum, but not to old Oldsmobiles. I have had them since March 1977. I have had a 70 pace car convert, 70 Rallye 350, 70 442, 03 Silhouette, and now I have inherited a 75 Delta 88 Convertible. It had not been started since 2001. I towed it home this morning and had the engine running by 5PM. I have not yet finished cleaning the gas tank. I am not experienced with these full-size models, so I hope to pick up some valuable info here.

What do you want to know? For the most part, a car is a car is a car is a car. The main difference in restoring a Cutlass versus restoring a full-size is parts availability. You'll have no trouble getting engine, drivetrain, and brake parts over the counter at your local auto parts store, although some might need to be ordered. There are several good online sources as well, such as rockauto.com.

Body and trim parts are a different matter. Nothing like this is reproduced for the big cars, so anything you need will have to come from a donor car.

Your car sounds very cool. Please post some photos. What does the car need?

I had a '75 Delta 88 convertible myself back in the '90s, but I sold it when the kids were getting close to college age. A photo is below.
